OLMC Camp missionaries are young adult (ages 19-23) selfless servants who will be responsible for leading, supervising, guiding, and playing with children and teen leaders. They will talk about the faith and witness to their own faith. They will be responsible for facilitating every aspect of the kids’ day camp experience (by leading games, singing songs, making crafts, etc.) and supervising the teen leaders. Supervision of teen leaders will include: evening programing (team building and adventure activities), leading prayer, and ensuring teen leaders observe lights out, wake up times and code of conduct.
Five weeks: June 28-July 2, July 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26-30
We are seeking young adults (ages 19-23) who:
Want to go on an adventure!
Are comfortable being outdoors for 12+ hours a day.
Enjoy outdoor activities and adventure experiences.
Are willing & able to talk about The Faith and witness to their own faith.
Are enthusiastic about leading, supervising, guiding, and playing with children.
Act as role models and serve as mentor for teen leaders
Take direction humbly
Are not afraid to get dirty, get wet, or be hot
A desire to be with younger kids and mentor them
Experience working with children preferred
Some involvement in youth group, campus ministry, or parish ministry preferred
Being rooted in their own faith (don’t need all the answers, be perfect, but striving toward holiness)
Excellent communication skills with people of all ages, comfortable in front of a crowd
Being a self-starter, takes initiative
Willing to enter into every experience enthusiastically
Willing to live in community with peers
Holds to and believes in all of the teachings of the Catholic Church
